The supreme sunnah sports are more than just a physical exercise. They teach us patience, focus, precision but also ethics, character and moral transformation. Throughout Islamic civilisation, sport guilds offered young Muslims pathways to learn the ways of sacred manhood. In our age of increasing automations and convenience, where many of us spend over half our day behind screens, the art of the sunnah sports has become forgotten.
Join us on this much-needed camp, where we will have Ust Ahmed Karat take us through the inner depths of archery, wrestling and more. With eye-opening talks and competitions to test your limits, this is not an event you want to miss!

Ahmed is not only known for his prowess with the bow and arrow, but also for his knowledge on the sunnah sports, self development, spirituality and sacred manhood in light of the Prophetic tradition. His classes fuse deep spiritual insights and historical techniques from the Ottoman archery tradition with practical demonstrations.
Imran Fayez is a grappling & martial arts enthusiast with several years of experience, training with some of the best instructors & gyms in Sydney.
As an active volunteer within the community, he is passionate about teaching and passing on grappling knowledge to revive this sunnah sport amongst youth to encourage spiritual & physical development.
Imran’s grappling fundamentals workshop will introduce participants to the basics of various forms of grappling, including wrestling, judo & jiu jitsu. The workshop will also focus on the spiritual elements of grappling, making close reference to the book ‘Prophetic Grappling: Including as-Suyuti’s al-Musārʿah ilā al-Muṣārʿah’, authored by UK 3rd degree jiu-jitsu black belt Nisar Shaikh.
Ibrahim Bakkour is the director of Maydaan Spearfishing. He established the program to revive the prophetic discipline of swimming and freediving as a spiritual art form which allows us to draw nearer to Allah through takhliya, cultivation of virtuous character & self-mastery.
Ibrahim is known for his passionate practice of freediving & spearfishing, as well as his deep love and connection to the ocean. His classes blend freediving, science, Islamic psychology, Quran and dhikr with practical breathwork.
