Key Responsibilities
Finance & Treasury
Maintain and grow MYA’s financial future through strong systems, strategy and tawakkul (reliance) upon God.
Example of tasks: budgeting, bookkeeping, grant writing, processing payments, working with project teams, financial growth planning
Secretary
Ensure that all levels of MYA remain organised and compliant with a spirit of ihsan (excellence) in every detail.
Example of tasks: board meeting coordination, Google Drive management, shared inbox management, agenda and minutes (major meetings), compliance reporting (ACNC)
Volunteer Engagement & Management
Build, nurture and provide khidmah (service) to a thriving volunteer community at the heart of MYA’s work.
Example of tasks: recruitment and onboarding, volunteer initiatives (e.g. standups, socials, EOY dinner), strategic planning
Projects & Delivery
Oversee MYA’s portfolio of public-facing projects with vision, consistency and a strong sense of amanah (trust).
Example of tasks: overseeing all projects, guiding and managing project leads, leading projects (as needed)
Marketing & Communications
Amplify MYA’s voice with hikmah (wisdom), maintaining a trendy and educational edge.
Example of tasks: leading marketing campaigns, leading marketing teams (e.g. Design, Reels, Web), writing marketing plan, working with project teams, maintaining MYA’s online presence
