MYA is excited to present our first-ever Islamic Conference spanning 2 days and featuring leading Australian Muslim thinkers and scholars to cover a range of important topics from:
- the leading intellectual threats to Islam
- how Islam can flourish in 21st century Australia
- mental health and spirituality
- the end of times
- and of course, marriage.
But we can’t do it alone! We need your help to make this our biggest and best event yet! So, come and join us at our Volunteers Induction and be part of the team that makes it all happen! There will be competitions, cash prizes, and a delicious dinner to top it all off. We’ll also be giving you an insider spiel of the whole project and be launching it with a bang!
What are the dates of the conference?
The conference is planned to take place on Friday 16 June (after work hours), Saturday 17 June, Sunday 18 June. Timings will be released soon.
How can I find more information about the conference?
We have not released any information about the conference publically just yet. We will reveal all details on the night of our Volunteers Induction (Sat 13 May) to those who attend.
Is there an age requirement for volunteers?
No, there is no age requirement. All are welcome, whether young or old.
Do I need to register as an MYA Volunteer before volunteering for the conference?
No, you don’t need to become an MYA volunteer. Anyone can volunteer for the conference, just RSVP by filling out the form below.
Is there a nearby station? Is there free parking available?
Yes, Auburn Station is just a 7 minute walk from the venue. There is also plenty of parking on adjacent streets.
