Sensei Bios
The Mind-Body-Spirit Tour brings internationally respected Aikido teachers Hakim Sensei and Shanti Sensei to Australia for a unique series of lectures, workshops and community gatherings exploring the profound relationship between the jasad (body), aql (intellect), qalb (heart), and ruh (spirit). Rooted in the Islamic concepts of fitrah (our divinely-intended nature) and futuwwah (Islamic spiritual chivalry), the tour offers a fresh perspective on how traditional martial arts can become a path to character, presence and spiritual growth.
Across Sydney and Melbourne, participants will have the opportunity to experience inspiring talks, interactive discussions and hands-on martial arts workshops that demonstrate how movement, discipline and sacred tradition can help us reconnect with ourselves and our Creator.
